#9 Chausie

Typically weighing about fifteen pounds, a Chausie is built for running and jumping. They have extra-long bodies and legs and appear larger than they are due to their build. Chausies can be one of three colors: black, black grizzled tabby, or black ticked tabby (brown ticked tabby). This breed also has an exceptionally long tail and large, erect ears. They have a short, silky coat that is easily groomed. A Chausie’s head is typically round with a short muzzle and small nose. They are very intelligent and agile cats with an affectionate and playful disposition. This breed is also known for its loyalty and the bonds that it creates with its owners. In this respect, they don’t like to be left alone and are often very needed in terms of human affection, but this can be supplemented with a canine companion.
