10 Largest Cat Breeds

Like any other animal, cats come in all different sizes, colors, and patterns. There are cats that stay small for the entirety of their nine lives and then there are cats that can grow to the size of a mid-sized dog. If you prefer the latter, you’ve come to the right place. This is a list, in weight order, of the 10 largest domestic cat breeds.

#1 Savannah

Savannah’s are a tall and slim breed of cat and their proportions make them appear larger than they actually are. Although, don’t let that statement fool you. A Savannah can weigh up to twenty-five pounds which is about the size of a Miniature Australian Shepherd. They have a spotted pattern on their coat which gives them their exotic look. Some of their most notable, physical characteristics are their large, pointed ears, long legs, hooded eyes, and large noses. Their head isn’t very proportionate to their body as it is small and slender. They also have a short, ringed tail and a pattern on their ears that resembles an eye. Savannah’s even have cheetah-like tear stains running from the corners of their eyes down to their whiskers.
