4. The Scottish Fold
With its round head and large round, wide-set eyes, the Scottish Fold is known for its one unique feature; its ears fold forward and down. This is caused by a recessive gene that affects just the cartilage in its ears. Scottish Folds make wonderful companions that bond closely to their pet parent. They love to snuggle and are also very soft spoken, with their own purrs and mews that are unique to the breed. In addition, the Scottish Fold comes in a variety of colors, with short, medium or long fur.
