This breed began with a cross between a Serval and a Siamese. In other words, a cross between a wild, African cat and a domestic cat. Savannahs have very defining features; they have a tall, slender build and look very exotic. They typically have a spotted back relating back to their wild ancestors. They are a very loyal breed and are often compared to dogs because they will allow you to walk them on a leash. Be careful though, there are mixed opinions when it comes to a Savannah’s temperament because they are such a new breed; they can either be very aggressive or highly social. A Savannah can cost you anywhere between $1,500 and $50,000.
