8 – American Curl
There is no mistaking the American Curl – the distinctively rear-curling ears mark this small cat as a unique breed. Only the largest males will reach 10 pounds, with most in the 8 pound range, and females several pounds lighter. American Curls never really grow up, they keep their lively, curious, playful dispositions throughout their life. As much as Curls love to play, they also bond very closely with their owners, and are happiest when interacting with their favorite human. American Curls are very good with children, too.
You’ll have plenty of coat colors to choose from and they come with long or short hair. A quiet breed of cat, the American Curl has no major health issues, and gets along well with other pets. It can be taught to fetch and walk on a leash.
